WEDDING TIPS!

First let me start off by saying, that no two couples are the same. I have couple’s who I’ve worked with that I’ve had to give barely any tips, or direction to create magic. On the other hand, I would say most of my couple’s lean toward’s “Ramses give me all the tips/direction you can give me regarding engagement photo’s, clothing, & wedding day!

If you are on this boat, this is the page that is dedicated specifically to you!

Here are some tip’s I can give in regards to these three things.

Engagement Photos

To me, what’s the idea about engagement/connection sessions? It’s a chance for me to get to know you both, get to know your personalities (and vice-versa) and for us to get some kick-ass photo’s in the process. Your engagement session location is HUGELY important to make beautiful photo’s happen.

“Location, Location, Location”

You hear this in business, in movies, and this area… it’s the biggest factor.

Most couple’s who book me, end up with an Outdoorsy / Nature Based background. I don’t mind it. It’s actually where I’m the most comfortable with, and what I resonate the most with.

Some of my favorite place’s I’ve shot at!

A. Miami Beach / Key Biscayne - Normally this involves us getting up early (6-7 AM in the morning to catch the sunrise right at the beach! It creates AMAZING photos!)

B. Tree Tops Park - This park in Davie, has a nature filled background and it’s usually free on the weekday’s to show up! No permit required.

C. Vizcaya - This place is not just limited to weddings, if you love the background of it. It’s super easy to book a session there. It does require a Photo Permit ($250.00 at the time of writing this) but it’s worth it and creates magical photos!

These are just a few! I have a few more, but these spot’s have been scouted and I only share with couple’s once they book me to keep these hidden gem’s the way they are!

But I also, have done more than one engagement session’s in unconventional place’s. I’ve done at home, city landscape backgrounds, and used prop’s at some location’s to create magic between you two.

A. At Home Sessions - If you a homebody, or love the aesthetic of your home, a engagement session at home is a great idea to capture photo’s! The most important thing in my opinion is light. Make sure you have plenty of open window’s with clear lighting to make magical photos!

B. Citi Landscape - Do you like more of the Citi Background for your engagement photo’s ? Certain Parts of Downtown Miami, Wynwood, can be magical in the Early Morning! My biggest ask when we do this, is for us to collaborate on a time that makes sense and is safe for all of us!

C. PROPS! - I’ve recently fell in love with this concept. Usually when I say props I mean an actual prop like a vintage car. On engagement session or wedding day these can be truly magical. Since I was a kid, I’ve been a car guy so when couple’s throw this idea at me — I know pure magic will happen with these. I always tell my couple’s with these to remember that if you want a certain look as you probably seen online, you have to dress and play the part, Vintage Sunglasses, more White-Chic clothing, and Champagne bottles are amazing to making this happen.

For Prop’s or Themed Shoots

Time to dress up for the part! Most of my couple’s who go this route, know what they are getting into!

A. Normally these shoot’s are more Chic and colors are more elegant! I love white dresses, with shades. The look is amazing for these shoot’s. For the guys, a white button up, and dark slacks such as black, grey, or navy looks amazing.

B. If doing a car as the prop - we will chat about what color I suggest and location. Usually I like darker cars, but I have done funky colors such as red in the past. Rooftops, or near the skyline also work for these photos!

C. Bring some small props! Such as Champagne (Multiple of them, we never get it right the first time lol) and if you have an instant Polaroid camera it looks great for photos! I’ll have music to set the vibe!
