One thing I preach to my couples is, engagement sessions are a way for me to get to know you guy’s and vice versa. I feel everyone feel’s pressure to get the perfect photo, or to look a certain way based on other couple’s or wedding’s I’ve captured in the past.

I tell my couple’s the most important thing for them to keep in mind, and it will show in photo’s is the fact you want to truly show your connection. Love is something that can’t be faked, and that genuine intimacy or the way you connect with your other half truly shows in photos. I can’t speak on how many time’s I’ve gotten to shoot’s where one or the other person isn’t into what we are creating as much as the other.

I remind everyone - that connection shows in photo’s and at least the moment my couples are in front of the camera I want them to truly be IN LOVE with each other. Be comfortable, show your connection and the reason you guys are into each other. As long as that happen’s I will always capture GOLD.

For example - Yesterday I captured Kat & Rodrigo’s engagement session. I remember her mentioning the “were nervous, we want to come out perfect”. I literally told them, as long as you guy’s are truly in love with each other your photo’s will shine.
